"JL Audio’s e110 subwoofer produced some of the tightest and most powerful bass that I have heard in my listening room for a long time. It is so grippy and controlled that it would be happy in systems used for serious two-channel music listening, yet is equally at home in a movie-focused environment where real visceral impact is needed. So if both quality and quantity are on your wish list, you owe it to yourself to audition this."

"The e110 joined my system for nearly a full month, and the longer I listened, the more impressed I became. Musical deep bass, whether from Richard Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra or Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony, was convincingly complete, with even the lowest fundamental tones geologically solid and fully accounted for."
"This one’s a keeper. ’Merican-made, too."

"If I had to sum up the e110's sound in one word it would be precise. Bass notes start and stop on a dime, drum beats sound like sticks hitting a drum head."
"...I have to say JL Audio's "baby" e110 sounded like a heavyweight to me."
"...the e110's bass clarity and definition put it in a different class."

Golden Ear Award Winner
The Absolute Sound, 2015 (e110 & e112 - Robert Harley)
"These subs are quick and agile, reproducing transient information with no smearing of leading-edge attacks or decays. As a result, the subs don’t dilute pace and rhythm, as many subs do. Both subs go low, play loudly, and do both at the same time without any sense of strain or compression of dynamic peaks. A stone-cold bargain, and an easy choice for a Golden Ear Award."

"The E-Sub e110 is a no-brainer highest recommendation if ever I heard one. And remember this is coming from someone who hates subwoofers (or used to)."

"Before I got this surprisingly affordable little cube (with 10" driver) from JL Audio, I was anything but a fan of subwoofers, which always seemed to take more away in midrange transparency, tone color, and resolution than they paid back in bass-range extension, detail, and power. Crossed over at the right frequency–which is easy to do with the instructions that JL provides and the e-Sub's manifold built-in controls–the e110 is the very first sub I’ve heard that doesn’t screw up the sound of the main speaker. Rather it seems to extend that sound into the bottom octaves, producing the finest low-level resolution of bass timbres and textures I’ve heard from any transducer. Driven by its own 1200W Class D amplifier and capable of extension into the mid-twenties, the e110 is a powerhouse with uncommon grip and resolution. Paired with something like a Raidho D-1 stand-mount it will give you everything (save for overall impact and image size that you pay the big, big money for in a massive multiway floorstander."
